This week the plan for the ground floor renovation has been finalized. After some pressure from the constructor and engineer and several onsite meetings I think we landed on a good plan that will work well within the existing structure.
Secondly with the plan in place the courtyard window and door configuration is also decided.
These layouts external doors and windows and floor is making sure the crew can work on the demolition and rebuild preperation, even though we are not a 100% on what the final configuration of the kitchen is going to be.
This plan also means that the abition to keep as much of the original art deco cement tile flooring in the ground floor apartment will likely only be possible in one room.
The tradeoff is that we get a better layout for the kitchen and living room area, with more light and better access to the courtyard and a uniform tile cover.
